Meet Basic requirements
The students planning for studying medicine must prepare for the entrance exam to the doctor (เตรียมตัว สอบ เข้า แพทย์, Which is the term in Thai) course so that they succeed and reach their goal. Most of the universities in Thailand are still following 6 years of a degree courses for medical students. Still, some universities follow the international pattern of 4 years Doctor of Medicine program. This new dimension of the program caters to the need of the doctors of the future generation, who will be the main force to serve the international society at large. The interested candidate can directly apply to the Universities provided they are eligible as per the criteria laid down by the Universities.
What is required?
The candidates planning to study medicine in Thailand must be aware of the criteria required for admission. A bachelor’s degree in any field and to be proficient in the English language, and completing tests like TOEFL or IELTS academics are necessary for being eligible. Students of foreign countries like Australia, the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand, and students from other countries who have bachelor’s degrees in the English language, are waived off from TOEFL and IELTS tests. The students must have the Medical College Admission test result with no minimum scores. Proof of financial resources, medical certificate, passport size photo, valid passport, and filled in the application form. If the student wants to take up a bachelor’s course in medicine then a high school diploma certificate is mandatory.

The students must prepare for the MCAT properly to score well to be eligible for medical courses in Thailand. The Medical Course emphasizes the global medical knowledge, innovative ideas, and leadership skills required to take care of patients with responsibility and accountability.
